Grenadier Company Trial
In an endeavor to both project the skill and professional level of many of the members of this regiment but at the same time maintain its easy-going form for all those not interested in a more competitive scheme we are today forming these regulations upon which entry in the grenadier company is decided. For the reasons before-mentioned entry into the grenadier company of the regiment will be depending upon the melee capabilities of the members but will also be entirely voluntary. In other words one has to apply for this trial and will not be forced to take it should he/she meet the requirements.
The trial can be taken in one of two ways:
a)after application of the member wishing to qualify for the grenadiers
b)after acceptance by a member of a recommendation by a CO to join the grenadier company
The trial will differ between Enlisted, NCOs and COs. For the Enlisted the trial will include:
20 1v1s between the member and some qualified CO or NCO of the regiment that also belongs to the grenadier company. In special cases concerning limited time or real life obligations forcing the member to only be present at a specific time when no such CO or NCO is present, instead a CO of the regiment can instead take that role even if he isnt a grenadier. The member must successfully win at least 12 duels in order to pass this step.
12 2v1s between 2 NCOs or COs of the grenadiers and the member. These cannot be conducted by a CO unqualified for the grenadier company. The member must emerge victorious in at least 6 out of the 12 matches.
5 3v1s between 3 NCOs or COs of the regiment, they dont necessarily have to be grenadiers, and the member. The member must win at least 2 of these matches in order to pass this step.
Other rules:
During every of these 3 trials there must be a NCO or CO outside the grenadiers who will act as referee for the match. The referee cannot be decided by the NCOs or COs participating in the trials as opponents of the member and it can also not be decided by the member. In any occasion this rule is not followed the matches done against it are to be considered invalid.
Only Enlisted of the ranks of Pvt, PFC and VPvt can enter the trial. In other words members of the rank of Rct cannot.
The trial doesnt need to be finished within a single day. It can be done over multiple days. Nevertheless once it is started it must be finished within at least 45 days. If it cannot be completed in that time-frame for reasons of the command of the grenadiers and not of the member or because of stated problems the member is facing making him unable to continue this time period of 45 days can be extended accordingly by the one signing this document.
The trial will have to be undertaken over regular periods by the members of the grenadier company in order to test their performance. That can change by the one signing this document after request by the highest ranking CO of the grenadiers. By default this trial will be re-done every 9 months. Members of the grenadier company have to pass it again but if they dont they are not necessarily removed from the grenadiers but they can be removed from them if after a failure their return to the regular positions is requested by the highest ranking CO of the grenadiers and accepted by the one signing this document.
Grenadiers will not be removed from the grenadier company unless it falls under rule 4. In case their dismissal for the grenadiers is asked for by COs or NCOs of the grenadiers for other reasons than the ones stated in rule 4 the only one able to ratify their dismissal will be the one signing this document.
Depending on their rank the Enlisted will have to take this trial multiple times in order to be accepted. Pvt (Private) have to take it once and if successful they will be accepted with the rank of Fus(Fusilier). PFC(Private First Class) have to take it twice and if successful they will be accepted with the rank of Gren(Grenadier). Vpvt (Veteran Privates) have to take it three times and if successful they will be accepted with the rank of Grd(Guard). Ranks that have to take the trial multiple times can keep taking it till they get the necessary amount of successful trials.
NCOs will have to take the trial multiple times as well. Cpl(Corporal) will have to take the trial 2 times and their rank will be GCpl(Guard Corporal) if successful. Sgt(Sergeant) will have to take the trial 3 times and their rank will be GSgt(Guard Sergeant) if successful. SSgt(Staff Sergeant) will have to take the trial 4 times and their rank will be GSM(Guard Sergeant Major). WO will have to take the trial 4 times and their rank will be GCdt(Guard Cadet). Besides that NCOs will have to take the NCO examination again in order to fully qualify for their respective positions in the grenadier company. WO especially will have to re take their NCO examination for acceptance into the grenadier company twice.
COs can only be accepted into the grenadier company after being so recommended for this by the highest ranking CO of the grenadier company. They will have to take the trial as many times as the highest ranking CO grenadier thinks necessary. If that CO of the grenadier company deems it required for some other trial to be added as an extra test for the CO wanting to join the grenadiers he may do so after getting the approval of the one signing this document. In case it is observed that the trials of the highest ranking CO of the grenadiers is using unfair trials for that CO who wants to join the grenadiers or that those trials are for any reason absolutely impossible they can request their issue to be viewed by the one signing this document. He can modify the extra trials or the number of the grenadier trials as he thinks is rational for the CO applying to enter the grenadier company.
Anything on this document can only change or be different on the actual trial after a request of the highest ranking CO of the grenadiers and acceptance of that request by the one signing this document or if deemed necessary directly by the one signing this document.
The rank equivalents between the normal ranks and the ranks of the grenadier company can be seen on the ranks tab under Blackguard
